Björn Nilsson has been elected as a new member of Ovako's board of directors.

Ovako has signed an agreement with SSAB to acquire steel and metals distributor Tibnor Oy in Finland. The deal has been approved by the European Commission and will now be examined by competition authorities in Finland and Estonia for final approval. The acquisition is expected to have a slightly positive impact on Ovako's operating profit and a slightly negative impact on cash flows for 2015.

Ovako will publish its report for the fourth quarter at 07.30 on February 11, 2015.

Ovako has appointed Erik Bohman as Managing Director of its subsidiary Cromax AB, a company that mainly produces and supplies chrome-plated bar for hydraulic cylinders. Erik Bohman will take up his post on February 15, and reports to Rickard Qvarfort, President of Business Area Bar Smebox.
