Ovako has received approval from the Finnish competition authorities for the divestment of Ovako Metals Oy Ab, its distribution entity in Finland, to Tibnor, a subsidiary of SSAB. The transaction is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

The application period for Ovako Imatra’s next apprenticeship programme will run from April 22 to May 17. Approximately 20 students will be selected for positions in production and mechanical maintenance. The studies will begin on September 1, 2026.
